And there is more: in Chapter 3 is a guide to l the Lindy Hop - the heart of the Swing dance family. This partner dance developed in Harlem during the late 1920s and is danced to "Hot Jazz" and hopping Swing music. 2 classes contain all the basics of the Lindy Hop necessary to embrace improvisation, creativity, and communication between dancers.

Kari Shorets

Dancer, Dance Teacher, Choreographer, Actress & co-founder of Two To Jazz. Kari has started her dance career at the end of 2013. Karina fell in love with Lindy Hop, Charleston, Authentic Jazz, Chorus Line and Tap Dance

For 7 years she taught different styles of swing dances around Poland, leading regular groups in Krakow and Katowice.

In 2019 Kari graduated from "Stage Choreography" studies. Since then, she has created choreography group Kick & Swing Chorus Line, choreographed several theatrical productions and created her own dance shoes brand Kick & Swing. Now Kari is a teacher in Little Big Apple Dance School in Lisbon, Portugal.

Her main focus in dance is Chorus Line inspiration, jazz improvisation, body awareness, exploration of different styles of dance and developing individual style. In 2022 Kari in collaboration with Kris, video maker, photographer and swing dance lover, created Youtube video project Two To Jazz, about history of jazz, swing dances and jazz music.
